Metrics: Includes the frequency and duration of app usage.
Privacy First: No data is collected about the contents of the app or website. Data is encrypted during transmission.
Apps Scheduler Phone (AS phone): This mobile application is available for free from Play Store or App Store (coming soon). Research participants can sign in using the unique study id and participant id provided by their researchers.
Apps Scheduler Web (AS web): Researchers can conduct their studies on this web platform. Researchers specify unique research study id and participant id for each participant to sign up.
Reporting: There are several ways to obtain phone usage data. One, research participants can manually self-report their phone data to AS web. Two, participants can allow auto-reporting of data over a specified time period to AS web. Three, they can send a .csv file via their emails.
Export: All data can be downloaded in .csv format.
Confidentiality: Security features include encryption, verification of phone number, and use of unique ids. No identifying information is collected by Apps Scheduler.
Current Limits
The free-to-use, as-is version is currently available on Android phones and restricted to one researcher/study with 20 or fewer participants.
Plans & Subscription
The base version will remain free-to-use.
With additional modules and functionalities, there will be maintenance, service, development, and storage costs that may need to be covered by a subscription model of payment.
